Dorry Okojie Resigns From Labour Party

A former governorship aspirant on the platform of Labour Party for the Edo 2024 gubernatorial election, (Dr) Dorry Afe Okojie has resigned from Labour Party. Okojie has also quit active politics for the meantime.

In a letter of resignation addressed to the chairman of Labour Party, Ward 4, Ohordua in Esan South -East Local Government Area of Edo State and signed by (Dr) Dorry Okojie himself, and made available to Newscurve24, said his resignation is to enable him focus on his business and grow it.

While thanking members of Labour Party for the support they availed him while seeking the party’s governorship ticket, Okojie assured of his continuous support to the party and politicians in the state.

“I wish to convey to you my resignation from the Labour Party.
My resolve to resign from the party is sequel to my decision to quit active politics for the time being. This is to enable me to be entirely focused and dedicated to growing my private business.

I wish to assure the party and those in the political arena of my continued support, and please don’t hesitate to contact me for advice/counsel whenever the need arises, especially for matters pertaining to moving our dear Edo State forward.

“I wish to thank the members and all organs of the party for their support during my quest for the gubernatorial ticket of the party.

“While wishing the party well in all its future political engagements, I wish to express the assurances of my highest regards”.
