It was joy unlimited on Sunday, 21 April when members of Gospel Defenders Ministries International Incorporated, joined their shepherd and General Overseer, Archbishop Fred Aghedo in Thanksgiving to God for the successful celebration of his sixtieth birthday.
The church auditorium on Lucky Way, Off Ramat Park, Ikpoba Hill was filled to capacity as members of the church and non members who have benefitted from the healing and impactful preachings of Archbishop Aghedo joined him to celebrate his diamond jubilee.
Speaking, Archbishop Aghedo urged Christians to be prepared for the future, nothing victory doesn’t come easy.
The fire brand preacher also admonished politicians in the Edo 2024 governorship race to be prepared for the race, be ready to answer questions from Edo voters and defend any of their past actions that may come under scrutiny. We admonished them not to assume things that are not real.
The man of God who took his text from the Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 25, verse 1, admonished, “Prepare for your future because tomorrow will be better than today. Get prepared for the race you’re running because victory doesn’t come easy, you must be prepared for it. If you don’t want the gate of life to be short against you, then get prepared. Stop assuming things that are not real”.
The secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie (Esq) eulogised the celebrant, Archbishop Fred Aghedo for his steadfastness in the vineyard of God and for being faithful to his calling.
Osarodion Osarodion Ogie who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Secretary to Edo State Government, Deborah Enakhimion(Esq) thanked Archbishop Aghedo for supporting the Edo State Government with prayers and sued for its sustainance.
In a good will message, a former chairman of Owan Local Government Area, Richard Ofenimu described Archbishop Fred Aghedo as a fearless preacher and urged him to continue to use his preaching to shape the society along the path of righteousness.
Activities marking the 60th birthday of Archbishop Fred Aghedo kicked off with a breakfast prayer meeting on Thursday, 18 April. This was followed by a lunch prayer fellowship on Friday, 19 April and dinner prayer meeting on Saturday, 20 April evening. The ceremony was rounded off on Sunday, 21 April with a Thanksgiving.
Archbishop Archbishop Fred Aghedo was born on the 18th of April, 1964 at Emu in present day Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
