Edo Central Senatorial seat that was hitherto occupied by Senator Monday Okpebholo, has been declared vacant by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
The big question now, is: “Who steps into the shoes”?
The people of Edo Central Senatorial district, otherwise known as Esanland, must see this decision about who becomes the next senator, as a crucial one, hence must handle it with all seriousness.
Esanland has in time past, been represented in the Senate by some persons that were only interested in their personal wellbeing and interests, not the interest of the people of Esanland.
This time around, we should be reminded that, our collective decisions will determine what will become of Edo Central Senatorial district in the next eight years.
The Senate is a place where members must lobby, speak for the people they represent and also facilitate, through national and international agencies, quality projects that will impart on the lives of the people. That individual with such capacity must be identified.
Hon. Prince Odianosen Okojie, the member representing Esan North East/Esan South East, federal constituency in the House of Representatives, has aptly demonstrated that he has the temerity and capacity to effectively represent Esanland at the Senate.
Hon. Prince Odianosen Okojie, with his avalanche of evidence of a true representation of the people of Agbazilo, at the National Assembly, by the array of projects he has executed in his constituency, is definitely one aspirant that the people of Esanland must consider to represent them in the Senate.
So far, he has demonstrated that he has the capacity to ensure Esan land and her people actualise their Destiny.
