The General Suprintendent of Gospel Defenders Ministries Int. Inc. Archbishop Prophet Fred Aghedo has urged Christians to give to their enemies and feed them this year, assuring that the sacrifice will earn them God’s blessings and favour.
Archbishop Aghedo gave the advice while delivering his first sermon for the year 2025 on Sunday, 12 January. Aghedo who said the sermon was his first at the Benin City headquarters of the ministry as the first Sunday service held at the Emu camp ground of the church, pointed out that God is happy with those who feed thir enemies and would reap abundantly from God’s blessing for those who obey God’s precept on the command.
Aghedo who took his message from the book of Genesis, chapter 32 verses 24 – 29, admonished Christians to challenge God this year by giving food to their enemies, assuring that the blessings of God that the angel of God gave Jacob in Genesis 32: 28 will be theirs, adding that God will give them a new name and no one can defeat them.
Prophet Aghedo assured Christians that a lot of things will change in their favour this year, but urged them to ensure they make sacrifice to obey God’s laws, adding that this is the year of harvest for them.
While assuring members of the congregation that this year is their year of harvest, Aghedo assured that all those who sowed good seeds in the past shall reap abundance of it this year, just as those who have been sowed bad seed will reap what they sowed in abundance.
High point of tge service was the cutting of the birthday cake of one of the sons of the prophet, Goodheart Aghedo as put together by his friends and school mates.
