Prof. Izibili to Deliver 128th Inaugural Lecture of A.A.U. Ekpoma

Professor Matthew Izibili of the Department of Philosophy, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma will on Thursday, 15 May deliver the 128th Inaugural Lecture of the University titled, “Philosophy in the Service of Society: The Esan Model of Aihebholo – Oria”.

In a statement signed by the Acting Registrar of the University, Ephraim Isiraojie states that the lecture which will be chaired by the Acting Vice-chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel will hold at the Rev. Chris Oyakhilome Auditorium.

While stating further that the lecture is billed to commence at 3 PM in the afternoon on the said date, the statement urged guests to be seated at the venue by 2:30 PM.

Prof. Matthew Izibili holds a Ph.D in Philosophy from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; M.A. Philosophy from the University of Ibadan; B.A. Philosophy from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto.
Prof. Izibili specialises in African Philosophy and Philosophy of Culture. He’s a resource person and authority in Esan Native Laws, Customs and Traditions.
Recently he led a team of consultants commissioned by the Uromi Justice Development and Peace Caritas Initiative (JDPCI) under the platform of Esan Khide Foundation to carry out a research and codify Esan Common Laws and Customs; a document that was recently validated by traditional institutions and other stakeholders in Esanland.
