A matriarch in the Ehiemua family of Ukpenu-Ekpoma, Mrs. Patricia Ahenanumen Ehiemua (nee Aigbedion) who died few weeks ago will be laid to rest on Friday, 18 July at her Ehanlen, Uhiele-Ekpoma residence.
In a statement signed on behalf of the children by Daniel Ehiemua and made available to newsmen, states that the remains of Mrs. Patricia Ahenanumen Ehiemua will depart Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital Mortuary at 10 am on Thursday, 17 July for her husband’s house, late Chief Gabriel Eseigbe Ehiemua’s Compound, No. 7 Ukpenu Road, Ekpoma for a brief stop over.
According to the statement, her corpse will depart Ukpenu-Ekpoma for her family house at Egoro-Na-Oka for lying in state and family rites, adding that the corpse will depart Egoro-Na-Oka for her residence at Ehanlen, Uhiele-Ekpoma for lying in state and Vigil Mass at 4 pm later that day.
On Friday, 18 July at 12 noon, there will be a funeral Mass in her honour at the Church of Nativity of Mary, Uhiele Ekpoma. Interment will follow immediately in a private ceremony at Mama’s Compound at Ehanlen, Uhiele-Ekpoma.
Her rite of passage will continue on Saturday, 19 July with social activities and entertainment of guests at the Gold Royale Civic Centre, Irrua Road, Ebhoakhuala, Ekpoma beginning at 12 noon.
The ceremony will be rounded off on Sunday, 20 July with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Church of Nativity of Mary, Uhiele Ekpoma.
Sired by the late Martins Oguman Aigbedion & late Princess Ehibhiaunun Aigbedion (nee Madojemu) of Egoro Na-Oka, in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Mrs. Patricia Ahenanumen Ehiemua was born in 1947 and until her death was a business woman and she is survived by children, grand mother, sons and daughters in-laws, brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces.
