The Management of Ambrose Alli University has firmly dismissed reports alleging an impending crisis within the institution, describing such claims as misleading, unfounded, and deliberately crafted to cause sensation and destabilise the institution.
In an official rejoinder responding to a publication titled “AAU Ekpoma on the Verge of Crisis as Management Dares Governing Council, Visitor,” the University clarified that there is no conflict between its Management, the Governing Council, or the Visitor.
According to the statement, the University remains stable and fully operational, with its administrative processes guided by established laws and institutional procedures. Management emphasized that its relationship with the Governing Council is built on mutual respect and strict adherence to the legal framework governing the institution.
The University leadership also rejected allegations of administrative misconduct, including claims of withholding entitlements, disrupting Council operations, or acting in defiance of constituted authority. These assertions, it noted, are false, exaggerated, and aimed at creating unnecessary tension within the academic community.
“Every decision taken by Management has been in full compliance with the enabling laws of the University and extant regulations,” the statement read, reiterating that responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the institution lies squarely with Management, as provided by law.
The rejoinder further suggested that the controversial publication may be part of a broader attempt by vested interests to undermine ongoing reforms and administrative discipline within the University. It cautioned against efforts to politicize or destabilize the institution through misinformation.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, due process, and institutional development, Management assured stakeholders including staff, students, and the general public that the University remains focused on delivering academic excellence, advancing research, and promoting community service.
The statement urged the public to disregard the publication in its entirety, insisting it was designed to incite panic where none exists.
“Ambrose Alli University is not a platform for sectional interests or external manipulation,” the statement concluded, adding that the institution will continue on its path of stability and progress despite attempts to derail its mission.”
