The Edo State Government Joint Transition Committee for the handover of power to the incoming administration in the state has been scheduled for Friday, 18 October.
Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Osa Nehikhare who disclosed this to news at a press briefing in Benin City on Thursday, stated that the inaugural meeting will hold at the John Odigie
Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) in Benin City at 10 am.
According to the statement, “We have received the names of the APC Transition Committee members and are pleased to announce that we have scheduled the
inaugural meeting of the Joint Transition Committee for Friday, October 18, 2024, at 10 AM. The meeting will take place at JOOPSA.
“The primary objective of the Transition Committee is to facilitate a smooth handing over of government. We look forward to the collaborative efforts of all members in ensuring a seamless transition”.
The Edo State government side of the joint committe consists of Mr. Joseph Eboigbe, the Secretary to Government as chairman while Eire. Ifueko Alufohai Esq. will serve as Secretary Coordinator.
Other members are Mr. Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, Advisor, Isoken Omo, Advisor and Joan Oviawe, Advisor. Others are
Mr. Igberaese G.O, Engr. Enabulele Ferguson, Mr. Anelu Julius, Mr. Efe Iserhienrhien, Mrs. Osaro Aihie, Mrs. Igbinogbaro Bose Joy, and Yuwa Naps. Also on the government side are, Mr. Jude Ekpu, Dr. Stanley Ehiarimwian, Mrs. Akhigbe Joy; Mrs. Imuetinyan Akin-Omyajowo, Mrs. Agbonlahor Edugie: Dr. Henry Idogun, Mr. Isaac Ebewele, Mrs. Osayamen Mokogwu, Mr. Fidelis Imiebiakhe; Anthony Okungbowa (Esq.) Head of Service, Hon. Chris Nehikhare Commissioner for Communication and Orientation and Permanent Secretary, SSG, Mrs. Deborah Enakhimion.
On the side of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo are, Dr. Pius Odubu who will serve as Chairman, Dr. Pharm.Matthew Urhoghide, Pastor Osagie Izelyamu, Barrister Andrew Adaze Enwanta, Dr. Washington Osifo, Nosa Adams, Omosede Igbinedion, Paul Ohonbamu, Edo Omorogieva, and Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe.
