Ambassador Ugbo, made this known in a resignation letter personally signed by him and made available to Newscurve24 in Benin city.

Comrade Ugbo stated that he joined the party on the 12th of October, 2017 to enable him serve his local government area, senatorial district and Edo State generally in honesty and truth, explaining that in recent years it became obvious that the bad leadership at the national and state levels of the party do not sincerely have the people at heart.

” I joined the Labour Party of Nigeria to enable me serve my local government area, senatorial district and state generally in honesty and truth but in the recent years, it is obvious that the bad leadership at the national and state levels of the party do not sincerely have the people at heart and are only interested in making money thereby turning the party into a transactional political party with no interest in winning elections for the sole benefit of providing the dividend of democracy to the masses of the people.

“Haven known the above, with numerous evidence that the masses’ interest can not thrive under Labour Party in Edo State cum Nigeria, I hereby formally take the exit door from the Labour Party of Nigeria “.

He however, disclosed that he will further look out for a masses oriented and uncorrupted political party where he can be of service to the masses of Edo State.
