As the race for who gets the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) ticket ahead of the Edo Central Senatorial by-Election continues to hit up, it has become important for us to X-ray those who have indicated their interest in being the flag bearer of the party.
As usual, several persons who have since indicated interest are already going about their pursuit for the party’s ticket. But what is worthy of note here Is the question of who is truly a progressive amongst these persons in search of the party ticket.
Who amongst these persons have in their individual capacity reach out to the needy around them, who amongst them have used their hard earned resources to undertake people oriented projects with the sole purpose of alleviating the suffering of the people?.
Who amongst these have contributed earnestly to the development and betterment of the persons in his communities.
Who amongst these persons has a track record In putting his personal resources to use just to see that the plight of his people are well taken care of.
If there is anyone amongst them that has a track record of uplighting the welfare of his people as well as attending to thier needs by not holding back his personal resources in ensuring that the people have the essential amenities that one person is no other than the incumbent member representating Esan South-East/Esan North-East federal constituency in the House of Representative, Hon. Prince Odi Okojie, a true progressive to the core.
It is worth stating here that before Prince Odi Okojie threw his hat into partisan politics, he has since displayed the character of a true Progressive as he has been at home with his Esan brothers and sisters, both at home and in the Diaspora; he’s familiar with the challenges confronting Esan land and its people. Odi Okojie and his amiable wife, Mrs. Mercy Johnson-Odi Okojie are always with Esan people in his Uromi country home, ministering to their needs as well as impacting the lives of those around them.
It was his experience engaging his people that prompted him to venture into politics so as to create a wider platform to reach out to more people at the community, Local Government Area, Constituency and Senatorial District.
This is why the majority of the people of Edo Central Senatorial District are already welcoming the senatorial ambition of Prince Odi Okojie to enable him replicate all he has been doing for the people of Esan South-East/Esan North-East federal constituency in the entire Esanland. Odi Okojie’s political strength lies in his organic grassroots following which is unparalleled and unprecedented in Edo Central Senatorial District.
This is why we are appealing to the Edo Central caucus of the APC to ensure that they field the man who has long shown that he is a true ambassador of the people as well as a true progressive that he will certainly translate into winning an election, as Prince Odi Okojie has continually enjoyed the goodwill of the people of Edo Central Senatorial District, because they see him as someone they can access anytime any day.
