As part of efforts to make its services closer to the people and improve land administration in the state, the Edo State Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS) has established operational offices in Edo Central and Edo North Senatorial Districts.
In a press statement from EDOGIS signed by the Director of Information, Tunde Egbiremolen and made available to newsmen in Benin City disclosed that the offices are in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area in Edo Central and Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area in Edo North of the state respectively.
According to Egbiremolen, “EDOGIS is mandated to administer land resources in the state through computerizing land across the state”.
He noted that the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo led administration has decided to improve land administration at the grassroots by bringing the EDOGIS closer to the people because of his government’s desire to reduce land crisis amongst the citizenry.
The Edo State Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS) office is located at the Esan West Local Government Council Secretariat, along Ekpoma-Benin expressway, Ekpoma and Etsako West Local Government Secretariat at Auchi.
