Ossiomo Power Company Apologises Over Power Outage

The Ossiomo Power Company, Benin City has sent apologies to its customers over power outage they’ve been experiencing since Monday, 1 September.

In a message of apology to its customers signed by the Deputy General Manager of the company, Engr. Francis Ekwe and made available to Newscurve24 in Benin City, states that the outage is occasioned by a major technical fault, adding that the necessary equipment for the repairs have been procured and work has commenced.

While assuring that power will be restored as soon as possible, the statement appealed to customers to bear with the power firm.

“The Management of Ossiomo Power wishes to apologize to all its customers for the power outage being experienced since Monday 1 September, 2025.

“The outage was occasioned by a major technical issue within our generation facility.

“The requisite equipment and the necessary accessories have been procured and are undergoing installation at the site.

“It is expected that power will be restored as soon as possible as our team of engineers are already on site to ensure quick installation.

“We humbly appeal to all our customers to bear with us as the equipment when finally installed will lead to improved performance of our power generation, transmission and distribution.”

There has been power outage from Ossiomo Power Company since Monday, 1 September, which has paralysed business activities in major government and private offices in the commercial areas of Sapele road, Airport road, Government Reservation Area and environs in the Edo State capital.
