Special Assistant on Media to the Director-General of the Directorate of Education Quality and Accountability (DEQA), Comrade Rosemary Okoduwa, has congratulated the Director-General, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia, on the successful completion of her first year in office, describing her tenure as one marked by excellence, visionary leadership, and measurable impact on the education sector in Edo State.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Thursday, Okoduwa praised Dr. Ogbemudia’s commitment to advancing quality education and strengthening accountability across schools in the state.
According to her, the DEQA boss has, within a short period of one year, demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities that have earned her the admiration of colleagues, stakeholders, and education professionals.
“Today, I join numerous well-wishers in celebrating an outstanding leader, mentor, and administrator whose dedication to service has continued to inspire everyone privileged to work with her. In just one year as Director-General of DEQA, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia has shown remarkable vision, competence, and an unwavering commitment to improving educational standards and ensuring accountability within the system,” she said.
Okoduwa noted that the achievements recorded by the agency under Ogbemudia’s leadership have justified the confidence reposed in her by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
She said, “I am particularly grateful to His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for identifying and appointing Dr. Ogbemudia to this strategic position. Her performance over the past year has clearly demonstrated that she was the right choice for the job. The progress made by the Directorate and the positive outcomes being witnessed today are evidence of her capacity, dedication, and passion for educational development.”
The media aide further described Ogbemudia as a dependable mentor who has positively influenced her personal and professional growth.
“Beyond her official responsibilities, Dr. Ogbemudia has been an exceptional mentor and a source of inspiration to me personally. I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity she has given me to serve as her Special Assistant on Media.
