Ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general elections, a popular socio-cultural group in Edo State,Owan Conscience(OC),has invited the general public to its 2nd Political Dialogue with candidates of various political parties vying for the Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly.
The political event holding at Afuze in Owan East Local Government Area of the state is billed for 25th and 26th of September, 2026.
According to a press statement by the chairman of Owan Conscience (OC),Barr.Richard Ofen-Imu made available to journalists in Benin-City,”as we approach the 2027 general elections, Owan Conscience invites the public (Owanites) to a Political Dialogue with candidates of the various political parties, vying for the Senate, House of Representatives and Assembly. The Programme is designed to promote meaningful engagement, issue-based politics, and informed voter choices.
“This event is not just a mere political gathering, it is an opportunity for the people to hear directly from those seeking their mandate, understand their vision and priorities, and engage them on the issues that matter most to Owan development.
Continuing, Ofen-Imu said, “we advice Owan People to avail themselves of the opportunity to meet and engage directly with the candidates.We need to listen to their plans, priorities and ask questions where necessary and demand clarity from the candidates during the political Dialogue. There’s need to compare ideas beyond party affiliations and make informed choices ahead of 2027
“The future of Owan cannot be shaped by political promises alone, it must be built through informed conversations, accountability and active citizen engagement.
