The Edo State Government has approved the deployment of one of its newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Anelu Wilson Oziegbe, to the Ministry of Livestock Development with immediate effect.
The deployment was conveyed in a circular issued by the Office of the Head of Service and signed by the Permanent Secretary (Human Resources), Mrs. B. J. Igbinobaro, on behalf of the Head of Service.
According to the circular, referenced CMS362/5/1/1, the posting received the approval of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The letter stated: “I am directed to refer to the above-mentioned subject and to announce the approval of His Excellency, the Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the posting of the under-listed Secretary: Mr. Anelu Wilson Oziegbe — Posted to Ministry of Livestock Development.”
It further added that, “This posting takes immediate effect, please.”
Mr. Oziegbe is among the newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries recently appointed by Governor Okpebholo to strengthen the state’s public service.
His deployment comes in the wake of the suspension of the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Prof. Omorodion Ignati, and the Edo State Project Coordinator of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (LPRES) Project Mrs. Ikpikhumi Betsy Aghaku ver alleged official infractions.
Although the state government has not officially linked Mr. Oziegbe’s posting to the suspensions, his assignment to the ministry is expected to bolster administrative leadership as the government continues efforts to ensure accountability and effective service delivery in the livestock sector.
